Agua de Mayo is almost here. Big fat rain was all over Cubao yesterday. And still yet to get burnt…tsk tsk tsk magtatampo ang araw nito. Still some chance for basking before la nina falls on us. Already the weather stations are forecasting dam bursts…

…basking. Imagine ice cold beer, hot sand, and lapping waves on the shore. We’re on an isolated cove with no trappings of civilization except for an ipod hooked on cripy clear speakers (both on solar power), belting out (gasp!) Ocean Deep (para thematic). This is life, we say for the nth time on our nth gulp of our nth bottle, chanting “Tunay na kaibigan, laging maasahan, San Miguel Beer.”

…basking…while it is ohsooo gen Y makikiapid na rin. will copycat the young ‘uns…we read to know we are not alone (Shadowlands), and so we write to reach out. Everybody wants to be lonely so will not jump in the bandwagon. Pretensions at being snobbishly genX…but, sige na nga, reach out we must to survive, este to live well, and to return…kinailangang may rationale pa ang blog (relax, mosquito, the bull didn’t even notice…).

To the sufis and the bodhisattvas of the world. To the wise and the foolish. To the grand and exalted. To the lost and beaten…(drum roll)…to great and magnificent friends of old…

…..I’ve a bucketful of ice cold beer…the sun is on it’s 3 0′clock mark. We’ve about three hours until it sets…bit of time for kwentong buhay…..then we leave our marks on the sand…traces of footprints and biodegradable tansan ng beer (Parmenides was not particular)..tanda ng bawat isa.
